About the Texas Mahjong League

​

The Texas Mahjong League is a competitive social league fostering fun and skilled play across Greater Houston Area. Each quarter, players meet weekly for six weeks of competitive social play, wrapping up the season with a celebrated awards night. League members also enjoy exclusive discounted rates on quarterly tournaments.

FALL League Locations & Times

Fall Season Runs: September 21st - October 30th

2 Locations / 4 League Chapters

• Cypress League — Monday Evenings

• Katy PM League — Tuesday Evenings

• Katy AM League - Thursday Mornings

• Katy AM League - Saturday Mornings NEW Saturday Chapter!

***Disclaimer: A minimum of 8 participants is needed to run a League Chapter. Communication regarding League will be sent out a week before league season kicks-off. 

 

What's Included in Your Membership:

​

When you join the Texas Mahjong League, you get the full experience. Your membership covers six weeks of competitive social play at a dedicated venue with all necessary equipment provided (NMJL card not included). Each week features a fun raffle, and the season closes with an awards night where prizes are awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishes — plus a special prize for the player who plays the most lines during the season. Chapter winners will also be celebrated. Members also receive an exclusive discount on Simply Mahj merchandise and priority access to quarterly tournaments.

Absences/Missed Sessions:

It is recommended that you attend your league session as scheduled.  In the event that you cannot make it to a session, just let us know in advance that you are going to be sending a sub in your place or if you wish to make-up your session by attending a different league chapter session. Texas Mahjong League *does not provide subs for missed sessions. League facilitators may sit-in and play un-scored games at tables to help facilitate full tables when needed. 

 

Flexibility:​

Can't make it to a League session. No Problem. We are in a unique position that we can offer our members the flexibility of making up sessions by attending another league chapter session.  We offer mornings, evenings and a Saturday session in different parts of the city.

​

Priority Access/Discounts:

Current Active Members receive a $25 discount during early registration for the current end of season Round Robin.

Simply Mahj Merchandise Discount:

Current Active Members receive 10% OFF Simply Mahj Merchandise during their enrolled active season.
