Mahj, Tea & Mimosas: Mahj Foundations Join us for a beautiful Sunday at McHugh Tea Room for Mahj Foundations — our beginner-friendly Mahj 101 session designed to get you mahj-ready! Enjoy a welcome mimosa, lite bites, raffle prizes, giveaways, and a fun, supportive environment while learning the basics of American Mahjong. Date: Sunday, September 27, 2026 Time: 4:30 PM – 7:00 PM Location: McHugh Tea Room Perfect for: Beginners / no experience needed You’ll learn tile basics, the basics of play, hands and sets, simple strategies, and how to play with confidence. ***Note: We Recommend our participants to purchase the American Mahjong 101 Quick Start Guide and the Mah Jongg Made Easy Revised Edition 2024, to have a better understanding of NMJL Rules before class. This book can be found in our online store under "NMJL/Instructional" Items tab. A limited supply will be available at events and in-store.

Classes/Sessions/Events are non-refundable. Transferable to another person for the same event day/time. Cancellations require 48 hour notice. No Show Fees Apply. Simply Mahj Society Monthly Membership requires a 12-month membership that is non-transferable. Simply Mahj at Sea Experience Fee is NON-REFUNDABLE.
